Love and sex are important aspects of all adult human relationships. Surprisingly, our cultural inhibitions and conditioning do not encourage us to discuss about them in a scientific manner. Due to this sexuality in our country is fraught with many myths and misunderstandings which prove to be detrimental to the emotional health of the involved partners. The notion of romantic love with its unrealistic demands is another cause of severe disappointment in relationships. With the sudden spurt of relationship problems, increasing divorce rates, break-ups and their hazards, anxiety and depression pertaining to love and performance in sex, a dire need for well qualified and trained relationship counsellors is felt in the country. This workshop is designed on the scientific and well researched psychological theories and therapies like “Transactional Analysis” “Cognitive Behaviour Therapy” and “Positive Family Therapy”. The dynamics of relationships in context of love and sex will be studied and discussed in a simple yet scientific manner. This workshop will be useful not only for qualified psychologists and counsellors but also to couples who wish to have a fulfilling and happy love life.
