The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an tool, a form of assessment psychometric questionnaire which basically measures psychological preferences about people’s orientation towards the world, how they gather information, how they take decision and how they live. These preferences are based on typological theories proposed by Carl Jung and first published in his 1921 book “Psychological Types”. It is a self-report inventory designed to identify a person’s personality type, strengths, and preferences. The questionnaire was developed by Isabel Myers and her mother Katherine Briggs based on their work with Carl Jung’s theory of personality types.
